Volunteers of all ages staff our tours and events, do gardening, maintenance, blacksmithing, weaving, baking, building, sewing, and music-making. Please visit our volunteer page for information on all the ways you can make a difference at the Philip Foster Farm.
A diverse community of students and adults give tours, do building projects, maintain gardens and grounds, provide leadership and expertise, and help with events and publicity. Contact us for more information, age requirements, period clothing suggestions, etc.

Tours
Tour volunteers arrive before a tour, set up stations, host one station during the tour and help clean up the farm afterwards. See the calendar for scheduled tours.
Events
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Mary Charlotte’s Garden Party, Pioneer Barn Dance and Cider Squeeze provide opportunities for farm hosts, storekeepers, reenactors, food service, exhibitors, crafters and others to share their skills with our guests.
Summer Hosts
Greet guests, provide personalized tours, and live the life throughout the summer, Father’s Day to Labor Day 11:00-4:00 and May, June and September weekends.
