Giving tours, gardening, maintenance, blacksmithing, weaving, baking, building, sewing, and music-making are all ways you can make a difference at the Philip Foster Farm, while earning a free membership. See our volunteer slide show HERE.

School and homeschool groups who want to volunteer together can participate in our Retro-School Volunteer Program.
Chris will send out updates on our volunteer needs, schedule and train volunteers, and track volunteer hours. Also contact her if you need a reference for college or job applications, or to verify hours for school credit.
Tours
Tour guides arrive before a tour, change into costumes, set up stations, host one station during the tour and help clean up the farm afterwards. See the calendar for scheduled tours. See training sheets for tour volunteers HERE, but you don’t have to be trained before you come. Groups of volunteers can sign up for our Retro-School program to volunteer once a week through the spring.
Events
Concerts, Mary Charlotte’s Garden Party, Cider Squeeze, Haunted Farm, and Christmas in the Country provide opportunities for farm hosts, reenactors, exhibitors, crafters and others to share their knowledge and skills with our guests.
Summer Hosts
Greet guests, provide personalized tours, and live the life throughout the summer, Saturdays, May through October 11:00-4:00.
Camp Crafters
Throughout the summer, you can share expertise with kids who want to learn. Teach a skill, tell a story, fix a meal, take a hike… help us turn kids into Pioneers.
